Dear Bar Candidate:

If you're contemplating taking the exam with a laptop -- and I think you should strongly consider doing so -- I highly recommend you consider supplementing your standard prep class with the Eureka Bar Review course. This is the only one I found geared specifically for providing time saving and essay-enhancing techniques that take advantage of the laptop's word editing capabilities. The course is accessible online 24/7, which I found very helpful given my work schedule and family constraints. 

I passed the Feb.'03 exam using the laptop after having failed twice writing the exams manually. The difference between writing the exam and using the laptop, with Eureka's techniques, is night and day. My essays read much better, had higher quality content, and I was able to make extensive edits that I couldn't when I wrote the exams. But Eureka's techniques really shined in the performance exams, which I am convinced made the biggest difference in my passing the bar. 

Run, don't walk, to your computer store and get a laptop (if you don't already have one) and sign up with Eureka. You won't regret it. I know it's an additional cost, but it's hard to put a price on the feeling you get when you see those magic words, "The name above appears on the pass list for the February 2003 California* Bar Examination."
